Leadership Development

At the CEO's request, Oliver Tessier designed and executed a 360 evaluation to determine how staff were responding to his leadership in his first year on the job. His goals were to confirm or challenge his own perceptions and to gain insight into the way staff experienced the new ideas and expectations he presented.

Interviews included members of the senior team and second tier managers. Three focus groups included staff from all over the organization. Staff was impressed by the CEO's readiness to invite their imput, and the resulting report served as a guide for his second-year strategy.

Working from the benchmarks established in the initial evaluation, Oliver conducted a follow-up series of interviews in mid 2009. He continues to monitor staff's receptivity to high levels of change and to serve as a consultant to the CEO.
